Institute of Management & Research (IMR) was established in 1997 under the aegis of N.P. Goel Charitable Trust. Over the period of 15 years the institute has come up as one of the best B-School’s in NCR region , imparting quality education in a stimulating and innovative environment where students are empowered with knowledge and professional skills. The institute witnessed a rapid growth in northern India with an aim of setting high standards of imparting quality education. Its founder Shri N.P. Goel, well known for his untiring determination and philanthropic approach has been the guiding spirit and inspiration behind the institute.

At present the courses offered are PGDM which is approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi, MBA and MCA affiliated to U.P Technical University, Lucknow and approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD.

Computer Laboratory

IMR institute is completely connected with excellent Wi-Fi network. It has advanced IT facilities with adequate systems loaded with licensed Operating Systems and Software Packages. The network infrastructure is being served by HP Servers, Servers including Domain Controllers, DNS Servers, Mail Server, Proxy Server, Database Server and Print Server. The power infrastructure is supported with heavy duty uninterrupted power supply for all systems and servers to avoid data loss. The internet facility at IMR institute is one of its prominent features. The entire campus has broadband internet connection. Fast internet connectivity plays an important role in facilitating the academic as well as research and development activities for the faculty and students at the institute.

Members of the IMR institute can access the internet round the clock in the campus. IMR institute is equipped with latest multimedia facilities like electronic smart boards, location-sensing microphones, multimedia LCD projectors, overhead projectors, scanners, DVD writers, laser printers, digital cameras etc.

The computer wide network optical fiber backbone and structured cabling provides intranet as well as internet connectivity between/to all computers with faculty, students, PGDM/MBA/MCA academic block, administration, MDP rooms and Hostels.

Assessment software for grading, course registration, faculty feedback, attendance in class, conducting online evaluations, etc. has also been installed on the network. This can be selectively accessed by authorized Sections of IMR community. An e-Learning On-Line module is being used by the Faculty to provide Learning Notes, exercises, assignments and conduct Quizzes.

The information technology infrastructure is a significant factor in providing quality management and computer application education. Computer Resource Centre (CRC) provides PC notebooks and workstations to all the faculties, students and staff. The PGDM/MBA and MCA students get a laptop free of cost.

In addition, the institute has the following hardware and software configurations:

IMR Library is fully air conditioned has excellent collection of books and journals on management, Computer Science and other related subjects. Library stocks a rich collection of printed as well as electronic resources. which include the journals both national and international audio-visual resources, dissertations, summer projects, annual reports, cases studies and success stories of corporate houses and bound volumes of periodicals. The library with modern collection of knowledge resources and innovative information services fills an essential role for the academic community in their intellectual pursuits. Books: The Library has a highly selective collection of 25500 books in the area of management & information technology related subjects. Journals: The Library subscribes to 85 print journals (national or international) specific to the academic and research needs of the IMR community. Besides, there are many e-journals available in full-text through the online databases subscribed by the library. E-resources: The electronic library includes databases such as Gale Cengage and DELNET,infilib online journals, ICFAI University press. Other Resources: The library also holds a collection of case studies, annual reports in the area of management and related subjects.

The library at IMR has online book facilities and has a vast collection of autobiographies of renowned personalities and general management books aimed at personality development and enhancing skills as per the changing corporate environment. The library contributes to fulfillment of the institutes’ mission by selecting, acquiring, organizing, maintaining and making accessible a collection of printed and non printed primary and secondary materials that will support the educational research, and public service programmes of both students and faculty.


Well-furnished air-conditioned spacious theater type lecture halls give the future managers and technocrats a focused arena to develop their personalities. The latest audio-visual aids and multimedia technology enables the faculty members to have interactive sessions of teaching, which adds confidence and enthusiasm among our students.


A fully air conditioned auditorium has the capacity of seating 400 people at a time. It is equipped with latest audio-visual system which enhances the effect of conferences, seminars, symposiums and other cultural events.


Hostel facility is available to all students. Facilities for indoor games like Table Tennis, Carrom, Chess etc. are also available. The campus hostel is surrounded by lush green lawns and play fields. Hygienic and quality food prepared by professionally qualified cooks is provided to the students in the hostel canteen. The hostel is provided with power-backup. A resident-manager looks after the administration of the hostel. Mess facility is an integral part of the hostel, which provides homely and comfortable stay with a sense of camaraderie and fraternity amongst the students. Meals provided in the hostel mess are wholesome and nourishing. The mess caters to the tastes of the students with varied culinary preferences from different regions. Mess menu is planned and managed by the students in consultation with the caterer and management.
